While Tom Brady failed to pass the torch to Patrick Mahomes, he did have a chance to meet a cover-model for the future.
Brady Mahomes and Brady will share the cover of Madden NFL 22, EA Sports announced Thursday about a year after the two squared off on the game's biggest stage.
EA Sports teased the pairing via a video that was posted on Monday that shows the former Browns running back Madden NFL cover athlete Peyton Hillis and two goats. In the video, Hillis is shown taking his knees alongside the goats, while on the phone. He then tells the unidentified individual on the call "they have done it again."
EA Sports came up with a concept that was never done before with two different console generations. It has been a decade since Hillis was featured in the Madden NFL Series' annual entry. And it's been longer since there was a dual-athlete cover.
